About Me
Hi, I’m Laurel—founder of Gentle Roots Behavior Consulting.
I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University, where I specialized in autism and evidence-based support for children and families. Over the last five years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children ages 2–13, supporting a wide range of needs, strengths, and communication styles.
My experience includes work in in-home programs, clinic settings, school collaboration, and parent coaching. I love creating strengths-based individualized plans for skills like toilet training, daily living, and behavior reduction—all with a focus on helping families build calmer, more predictable routines.
What drives my work is simple:
Families deserve support that is compassionate, practical, and tailored—not restricted by insurance requirements or one-size-fits-all programs.
Gentle Roots was created to provide parents with support that is both clinically informed and deeply personal. What sets me apart is my commitment to coaching parents directly in their natural routines. Whether in your home, out in the community, or virtually when needed, I’m there to guide you through applying strategies as they happen.
Whether you’re looking for customized parent coaching or hoping to deepen your understanding of behavior, I want to help you feel supported, informed, and empowered every step of the way.
